(a)By Bailie Jean McFadden:-

"Council congratulates the pupils, parents and staff of our city's schools for their achievements in delivering Glasgow's best ever exam results.

Council believes that these results, together with improved inspection performances and falling exclusion rates, are signs of the continually improving standards of learning and teaching in our schools and reflect this administration's commitment to protecting education from the full force of government cuts.

Council wishes these pupils well in their future endeavours and looks forward to the continued success of our pupils and staff in the years to come." View Papers
(b)By Bailie John McLaughlin:-

"This Council is gravely concerned at the flood of complaints from constituents regarding the failure by the Council's Land and Environmental Services and Glasgow's Regeneration Agency to provide an acceptable level of service to some of the city's most vulnerable residents for Garden Maintenance. Council regrets the distress caused to the many residents who depend on this service.

Council agrees to investigate this matter to fully establish what went so badly wrong and to rectify the situation so that it does not happen again." View Papers
(c)By Councillor Jennifer Dunn:-

"Council welcomes the proposal by the Scottish Government to bring forward a Scottish Studies subject and agrees this will be a welcome addition to the curriculum." View Papers
