Delivering our Legacy

The Glasgow 2014 Legacy Framework sets out how our vision for a games legacy will be achieved. The Framework was approved by the council’s Executive Committee on 13 November 2009.

The Framework provides an overview of the main activities we plan to do before, during and after the Games to ensure a lasting, positive legacy is achieved for Glasgow and its people.

The Framework was based on the findings from a series of public consultation exercises undertaken during 2008 and 2009 and reflects the hopes and aspirations of Glasgow’s communities, our strategic partners and other stakeholders.

The Glasgow 2014 Legacy Framework is not a step-by-step action plan at this stage. Recognising legacy as an evolving process, we will continue to listen to local people and public, private and third sector organisations to ensure they all have an opportunity to contribute to the ongoing development and implementation of our legacy activity. New projects and ideas will be included in subsequent annual action plans.
