The information you provide will be processed by Glasgow City Council which is the data controller for the purposes of the Data Protection Act 1998, in order to process your information for consideration in the Glasgow Business Challenge Fund.
The council is under an obligation to manage public funds properly. Accordingly, the information that you provide will be used to ensure all sums due to the council are paid timeously, e.g. by identifying persons who are non-payers of council tax and to improve uptake of benefits.
The information may also be used to prevent and detect fraud and may be shared for the same purposes with other public bodies which handle public funds.
All of the information provided will be held on a business development database and used by us for the purposes of processing your competition entry. We may search for credit reference and fraud prevention agencies to check your identity, credit status and to assist our judges.
Your submission:
- If unsuccessful in this competition, your submission materials will be destroyed within three months of the decision.
- If you are a winner, we reserve the right to hold the information on file for two years.
- If false or inaccurate information is provided and fraud is identified, details will be passed to our internal audit for further action.
- By submitting an application to the Glasgow Business Challenge Fund you are agreeing that we can use your information in the ways described.
