The City Council aims to sustain and enhance the City Centre, the Town Centres and other shopping areas by providing high quality, convenient and attractive, retail and commercial facilities to serve all residents and visitors to the City through:

i) improving and developing the City Centre as Scotland’s primary retail and commercial centre;

ii) implementing flagship retail and commercial leisure developments;

iii) maintaining and improving town centres throughout the City;

iv) improving and developing the City as a commercial leisure and tourism centre; and

v) providing adequate local shopping and related facilities to serve all parts of the City.
