Free Carbon Coaching Breakfast
Glasgow City Council and Sustainable Glasgow have partnered with the Carbon Trust to support you in your carbon reduction efforts, save you money and enhance your reputation.
The breakfast briefing will provide delegates with an informal introduction to the Carbon Trust’s support services and what we can offer, providing an overview on how to:
- Raise staff awareness and improve the level of employee engagement
- Use our range of online energy management tools
- Complete your own energy action plans
- Develop an energy policy
- Realise business benefits through identifying and implementing energy saving measures
- Map your carbon footprint
The briefing will then focus on Carbon Management Plans for Scottish SME private sector businesses.
Being among the first SMEs in Scotland to develop a Carbon Management Plan will bring significant ‘green marketing’ opportunities to your business, and help identify significant cost savings.
The Carbon Trust currently provides support to SMEs, with an energy spend of over £5,000 per year, through the provision of online resources, self help tools, telephone support and onsite surveys (for organisations with an energy spend of over £30,000), to identify potential carbon savings and make recommendations for action.
The breakfast briefing is an ideal taster for the half day workshops; it is also a great opportunity to meet the Carbon Trust and discuss your unique requirements on a one-to-one basis to help you to identify opportunities to improve energy management in your business.
The Carbon Coaching Breakfast will be held in the Satinwood Suite, the City Chambers on 8th February 2012. Registration will open at 8.00am; the session will start at 8.30am and finish at 10.30am.
To confirm your attendance please send an email to carbonmanagementgroup@glasgow.gov.uk with the name and contact details of those who will be attending.
