About Living Labs Global Awards
Living Labs Global Awards is an annual international competition and is positioned as a challenge to find innovative solutions to major societal problems by opening competition among international technology and service providers.
Partner cities are invited to identify a Challenge which companies then respond to by submitting showcases of solutions that are either in prototype, pilot, pre-commercial or ready for market deployment. In the 2011 Living Labs Awards there were eight Partner Cities taking part and there were 245 showcases submitted from 127 cities in 30 countries.
