Glasgow’s Strategic Housing Investment Plan 2009/10 – 13/14 - Consultation

Local authorities are required by the Scottish Government to submit annually a Strategic Housing Investment Plan (SHIP) covering a 5-year period and outlining their investment priorities and plans on a project-by-project basis.  The second SHIP is required by 28 November 2008 and will be the first which may affect the allocation of housing investment resources between local authorities.

We are consulting on Glasgow’s Strategic Housing Investment Plan 2009/10 – 13/14.  This Plan is being developed against the background of the ‘credit crunch’ and in the context of the new policy approaches set out in the Scottish Government’s Firm Foundations consultation paper.

The consultation will run to Friday, 31st October 2008.

Housing Investment Consultative Conference

The Council held a Housing Investment Consultative Event on 6 October to begin the consultation period.  The main purpose of this event was to ensure that the SHIP is able to benefit from the knowledge and perspectives of all stakeholders.  We provide two presentations from this event below as context to the consultation document above.
