Working Arrangements for Local Housing Forums

While the forums do not have formal constitutions, there are a standard set of guidelines within which all forums operate, in order to ensure that working arrangements are consistent across the city :

Meeting Timetables

Meetings are currently held on a quarterly basis at a dates and times agreed by each individual Forum. For the date of the next forum meeting, please click the link to the relevant LHF page.

Meeting Agendas

The agenda for each meeting is agreed by the chairperson and circulated to members a week in advance of each meeting together with papers as may be appropriate.  All reports and minutes are posted on this website, within each LHF page.

Chairpersons

Forum meetings are chaired by the particular Glasgow City Councillor for each area, who also acts as chair of the local CPP. The chair is supported by a Lead Officer from the Housing Investment Division of Development and Regeneration Services. In the absence of the chairperson a vice chair convenes the meetings.  Details of the membership of each LHF can be obtained by clicking on the link to the relevant LHF page below.

Decision Making

LHFs operate mainly on a consensual basis, but from time to time there may be a requirement for a formal vote to be taken. In such instances, votes are decided by a simple majority, with the chairperson of the meeting having the casting vote.

LHF Membership Representation at CPP Meetings

In order to link effectively to the work of the CPP, a member of each Forum also attends CPP meetings, as a representative of the LHF.
