The Council, in partnership with Scottish Enterprise, are responsible for the national and international promotion of Glasgow as a business location.

Over the last five years this partnership has attracted over 15,000 new jobs into the city in the financial services, software and transaction processing industries, in projects with an investment value of nearly £1 billion.  Significant progress has also been made in securing Civil Service and public sector relocations.

Particular priority is being given to promoting the development of Glasgow as an international financial services centre.  The International Financial Services District website provides full information.

 

Publications

A wide range of publications are also available which provide information on all aspects of Glasgow as a business location, including reports on the general business climate and labour market within the city, on Glasgow as a place to live and work, and testimonials from companies which have already made the decision to locate in the city.

    This brochure provides information on what Scotland’s two largest cities have to offer as tried, tested and successful locations for government relocations
