Geographical Information Systems (GIS) & Property Section operates with Development & Regeneration Services and holds information on land, properties and addresses with the Glasgow City Council area. This section provides information to and maintains the Corporate Address Gazetteer / Property Address Database and also deals with all Formal Property Enquiries.

Corporate Address Gazetteer (Property Address Database)
The GIS and Property Section maintains the Corporate Address Gazetteer/Property Address Database which provides details of the address of each property within the Glasgow City Council area. It contains details of statutory addresses allocated by Development & Regeneration Services under the Civic Government (Scotland) Act 1982, Section 97 (Street naming and Numbering). It is compliant with the BS7666 Land and Property Gazetteer Standard.

Formal Property Enquiries (FPE).
Development & Regeneration Services currently operate a Formal Property Enquiry Service which provides a standard search on a variety of database records holding notice and other legal orders and regulations. A FPE Certificate is produced and sent to the enquirer, generally within 48 hours of receipt of request. The current cost of a certificate is £64.00 (£66.00 from 1 June 2008).
