Rateable Values & Council Tax Bands for properties situated anywhere in Scotland are now available on-line through the Scottish Assessors Association's web portal.
The portal also has an online interactive appeal facility, which is an available option after a successful address search.
This forward thinking project aims to provide provide public access to increasing amounts of Assessor's information. The Glasgow pages of the portal now contain lists of forthcoming appeal hearings with contact details to the valuers concerned.
As part of the Assessor's commitment to Freedom of Information, it is proposed that Summary Valuations of Non-Domestic properties will be available on the portal in the near future. It is also proposed to include a Valuation History, allowing on-line comparisons with previous valuations.
The Assessors' portal is part of a larger project involving the development of a national corporate address gazetteer which will provide comprehensive information from various sources for all properties in Scotland.
