Licences

 

The City Council as Licensing Authority for Glasgow carries out the administration of licensing in relation to activities for which licences are required, including the licensing of taxis, private hire cars and their drivers together with a large number of other activities as specified in the Civic Government (Scotland) Act 1982.

 

Licensing Committee

 

To carry out its licensing functions the City Council has appointed a Licensing and Regulatory Committeeto deal with specific licensing matters as detailed in its Terms of Reference.

PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL FEES INCREASE ON 1 APRIL EACH YEAR. 

PLEASE CHECK THE FEES WITH THE LICENSING SECTION BEFORE SUBMITTING YOUR APPLICATION.

The Section's business hours are:

 

Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm.

 

If lodging forms, please note that the tills close at 4.30pm daily.

 

The General Licensing Office is closed for training until 10.00am on Tuesdays.
