Information on how to apply for a Taxi Driver's Licence issued under the Civic Government (Scotland) Act 1982

About:

A Taxi Driver’s Licence permits an individual to operate any Taxi or Private Hire Car licensed by Glasgow City Council.

Please note that an individual can only apply for the grant of a Taxi Driver's Licence if they have passed the Council's Topographical Test within one year of the date they submit their Licence application.

There is a fee for the application; the fee is non-refundable.

 

Please refer to the Licensing Section's Fees and Charges document for details of the current fee and accepted payment methods. 

 

The application will not be accepted without the correct fee.
