Second Hand Dealer Licensing

 

 

A Second Hand Dealer’s Licence is required for dealing in the following used goods:

  • motor cars, motor cycles, caravans or parts thereof
  • jewellery
  • furniture and domestic appliances
  • antiques
  • clocks and watches
  • gold, silver, medals and coins*
  • televisions, radios, video recorders and musical instruments
  • bicycles

 

* NB: a metal dealer’s licence is also required for dealing in gold and silver.

 

To enable you to apply for a Second Hand Dealer Licence, the application form  below can be downloaded, completed and returned with the appropriate fee to the Licensing Section.


 

Guidance notes, Conditions, a Certificate of Compliance and a Notice are also available.

Note: The A3 Notice referred to in the Guidance notes must be obtained from the Licensing Section before applying.
