Land and Environmental Services Online Roads & Footways Permits

 

If you propose to occupy or open part of a road (ie. carriageway, footway, footpath or cyclepath etc), there is a requirement under the Roads(Scotland) Act 1984 to obtain permission from the local Roads Authority. This is done by applying for the relevant permit. Select the appropriate form below.


Please note that, as of 01 April 2006, Glasgow City Council Land Services proposes to introduce charges for the permits listed below. Please also note that, after 01 July 2006, in order to comply with the requirements of the Transport (Scotland) Act 2005 the minimum notice periods required by the applicant when applying for these permits will increase significantly.

Permits are granted only on condition that a plan is sent, faxed or handed in to the Land Services offices at the address below or alternatively the plan can be emailed to  land@glasgow.gov.uk
