You will have to fill these in and send them to the Council at the address stated on the forms. Applications can be made online through the Scottish Planning Portal at Please note that at the present time applications made to Glasgow City Council via the portal cannot be paid for online.
Make sure you use the correct Notes for Guidance for each different type of application. Otherwise, you might not complete the forms satisfactorily and your application will be delayed.
Check the Scale of Fees leaflet to see whether you need to submit a fee with your application. Fees were increased on 01/04/2010 and a revision to these fees comes into effect on 08/08/2010

Planning Application*
Use the Planning Application form when you are applying for any type of planning permission. Make sure you read the Notes for Guidance and that you have downloaded all the separate documentation required (Notice to Owners of Application Site or to Tenants of Agricultural Holdings). The Notes for Guidance detail everything you should have.
Listed Building/Conservation Area Consent
Use the Listed Building/Conservation Area Consent form when you are applying for works on a listed building or for demolition of unlisted building within Conservation Areas. Make sure you read the Notes for Guidance for Listed Building/Conservation Area Consents. There are also three forms for notification to owners of part or all of the application site. Where all the owners are known you should use form LBC 2.1, where some of the owners are not known you should use form LBC 3.1 and where none of the owners are known you should use form LBC 4.1

Proposal of Application Notice
Use the Proposal of Application Notice form where pre-application consultation is required. Pre-application consultation is required for all applications for planning permission or for planning permission in principle for national and major developments. The prospective applicant must provide to the planning authority a Proposal of Application Notice at least 12 weeks prior to the submission of an application for planning permission or for planning permission in principle. Make sure you read the Notes for Guidance, because they detail everything you need to know.
