Glasgow City Council values the contribution of the general public in commenting on planning applications. Applications and accompanying plans may be viewed at the Reception Desk, Development and Regeneration Services, 229 George Street, Glasgow G1 1QU which is open between 9am and 5pm Monday to Thursday and 9am to 4pm Friday (excluding public holidays).
You should always view the plans, if possible, before making your comments. Representations can only be made on valid planning grounds – the Have Your Say leaflet gives full details of how to make representations including an explanation of valid planning grounds and how your representation will be dealt with by the Council.
Representations should be made as soon as possible. Applications can be determined as soon as two and a half weeks from the second date shown on the weekly list e.g. an application on the weekly list of 07/01/09 – 13/01/09 could be determined at any time after 30th January 2009.
If comments are made after this it is possible that the application will have already been accepted on a Committee Agenda or be determined and your representations will not be taken into account.
If you wish to make a representation about any application it should be made either in writing to the above address or by email at the address below. Please do not do both. All representations must include a valid name and address or it will not be considered and it would be helpful if the application reference number was included as well. You should remember that all representations are available for public inspection and any comments which are racist will not be accepted and may be sent to the police for further investigation.
Email address for comments:
It is anticipated that documents and plans will be available on-line within the next few months which will allow you to view the application at your own convenience rather than having to visit the Council offices.
