Project Co-ordination

The Council-led scheme is overseen by a Steering Group which is chaired by local councillor, Bailie James Scanlon. 

The group is attended by any local people who wish to attend and by representatives of the developers, the housing associations, the Council and other interested parties.   Essentially, the regeneration process operates as a partnership between Glasgow City Council, the private sector, the housing associations and the local community.

Gladedale runs its own project team and, prior to the start on site, invested heavily in preparatory consultancy work.  The Council’s co-ordinating role is carried out by a senior officer in its department of Development and Regeneration Services.
