Enhanced Road Specifications

In order to contribute to the new neighbourhood's feeling of quality and distinctiveness, special road and pavement specifications have been agreed between Glasgow City Council and Gladedale, the lead developer.

Within the development, all the roads and parking spaces will be finished in red chip, and the roadway of the new focal point of Oatlands Square will have a surface of natural granite setts.  Special kerbs will be used throughout the development, and pavements in front of flats will be paved with slabs rather than tarmac.  Speed tables will have natural granite blocks, red in colour.  Cycle paths will be easily recognised by their surface of up-market ‘Tegula’ paving blocks.
