Environmental Protection Service has the responsibility for maintaining and monitoring the environment of Glasgow and is concerned with maintaining and improving standards of:

The enforcement of legislation throughout the City is carried out via the monitoring of building regulations and minimum technical standards, by the inspection of premises for food safety, health and safety and consumer protection purposes, by scientific sampling and analysis, calibration and testing.  The well being of the citizens is provided for by offering debt counselling, consumer and general enforcement advice and by the provision of refuse collection, waste disposal and street cleansing service, landfill site maintenance and of noise and pest control measures to encourage high standards of public health.

 

The Service actively seeks working partnerships where the coordination of service delivery with similar providers can lead to a better service for customers and stakeholders.
