Calibration and Test Centre

Glasgow's Calibration and Test Centre is one of Scotland's leading centres for calibrating mass, temperature and volume.

The Centre as well as providing traceability to National Standards for local authorities, is also accredited by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) to carry out calibration of equipment used by industry, in certain fields.

UKAS Accredited Services

 

    

  • weights – the only Scottish laboratory to be accredited to E2 level up to 500g and one of only a few in the UK to be accredited to F1 level of accuracy from 1mg to 20kg
  • weighing machines – non automatic digital weighing machines up to 1000kg capacity
  • torque – up to 1000 lbf ft/1350Nm
  • temperature – both thermometers and temperature controlled chambers from –30°C to +600°C
  • volume – anything from 1ml to 100 litres can be calibrtaed gravimetrically.

In addition to our UKAS accredited services the Centre also offers a range of non UKAS services including infra red thermometers, weights, external micrometers, caliper and height gauges, rigid rules, tape measures, pressure gauges and measuring wheels.
