Details of Environmental Protection Services Inspection Reports - Listed in alphabetical order of the premises name.

 

Officers from Environmental Protection carry out routine inspections to ensure businesses are complying with two areas of legislation:

 

 

1.      Food Hygiene Reports


The Food Safety Act 1990 requires that Glasgow City Council, acting as the Food Authority, regularly inspects all food businesses in the city to ensure compliance with the provisions of the legislation, in terms of management arrangements, cleanliness & structure.

Food Hygiene Reports contained within these pages can be identified by the 'FHy' extension.

 

2.      Food Standards Reports
 

The Food Safety Act 1990 requires that Glasgow City Council, acting as the Food Authority, regularly inspects all food businesses in the city to ensure compliance with the provisions of the legislation in terms of the labelling & composition of food, the nature, substance & quality of food & to ensure food is not subject to false or misleading claims.

Food Standards Reports contained within these pages can be identified by the 'FSt' extension.

 

3.      Combined Reports     

      

It may be practical and appropriate to complete both the Food Hygiene Report and Food Standards Report during the same inspection. When this occurs it is common for both reports to be produced simultaneously. These combined Food Hygiene Reports and Food Standards Reports can be identified by the 'Com' extension.

 

 

4.      Trading Standards Reports     

      

Trading Standards legislation requires that Glasgow City Council regularly inspects businesses in the city to ensure compliance in terms of Weights and Measures, Consumer Safety, Trade Descriptions, Trade Marks, Prices, Consumer Credit, Fair Trading, Animal Health and Age Restricted Sales.

 

Trading Standards Reports contained within these pages can be identified by the 'TSU' extension.
