The Food Standards Agency have produced the above guidance booklet to provide guidance on managing food allergens with particular reference to avoiding cross-contamination and using appropriate advisory labelling. Although the contents are voluntary, they are considered to represent best practice and are recommended to the food industry and consumer support groups.
