glasgow prepares hot title defence of curry capital title

The race is on the find the Curry Capital of Britain 2003, and Glasgow, the current Curry Capital, is getting prepared to defend its title. And you get your chance to vote for the restaurants to represent Glasgow!

The judging for the title will, as in previous years, be based on two elements – a dossier presented by the Council, and four restaurants chosen to represent the city.

And you have the chance to vote for Glasgow’s representatives by logging onto www.ethnicityshowcase.com (Glasgow City Council is not responsible for external web sites nor their content.)

The final selection will be announced in early March and the four nominated restaurants will be invited to hold a fund raising event for Action Against Hunger.

This year also sees a new award – EthniCity 2003. Each competing city will be judged on their contribution to the entire ethnic community.

Edinburgh, Cardiff, Manchester, Bradford, Birmingham, Leicester, Sheffield, Newcastle, and London will compete alongside Glasgow for the awards. The winners will be announced in Glasgow at the end of May.
