The tickets for the George Square celebrations - organised by Glasgow City Council - are snapped up.
Around 25,000 revellers are expected to bring in the New Year during the celebrations which will include a packed night of entertainment.
However, people who still want to go but missed out on tickets this time, should keep an eye out in December on www.glasgowshogmanay.org.uk when extra tickets may be released.
The headline acts for the event include Athlete - one of the UK’s most popular and best-selling “indie” acts – who broke into the UK Top 40 back in 2003 with the singles "You Got The Style" and "El Salvador".
Also performing is the home-grown talent of Deacon Blue, who are playing Hogmanay in Glasgow for the first time, and Hue & Cry, who have found new fans in the last year thanks to ITV’s ‘Hit Me Baby One More Time’.
Councillor Liz Cameron, the Lord Provost of Glasgow, said: “What fantastic news. Glasgow’s Hogmanay 2005 has sold out in only a matter of days. It shows that the quality entertainment programme is definitely a hit with the public.”
The party atmosphere begins at 8.30pm on Saturday, 31 December, through the Bells, until 1.30am with Clyde 1’s George Bowie playing host.
Information on Glasgow’s Hogmanay will be updated on the website www.glasgowshogmanay.org.uk and the information line 0871 200 3940.
