The Ceremony Rooms in Glasgow bring fresh life to one of the city's areas of outstanding architectural interest. Number 22 Park Circus forms the start of a curved terrace built in 1872.
The town house belonged to a wealthy industrialist who commissioned one of the most magnificent interiors to be found in the city. Later features were added by outstanding designers in the Glasgow Style.
The Ceremony Rooms at 22 Park Circus provide a beautiful setting for civil marriages and civil partnership registrations/ceremonies.
Rooms:
The rooms offer a range of settings, each one with a distinctive character but all decorated and furnished to the highest standards. Each of the larger rooms has a separate waiting area. Below is a brief description of the rooms available.
The Kelvin Suite
| Centre-piece of the original dining room on the ground floor is a magnificent black marbled fireplace. This suite can take up to 55 guests, and the warm burgundy colour scheme forms a rich background to the occasion. An adjoining waiting room completes the suite. |
 |
The Katrine Suite
|
The former drawing room, on the first floor, is linked to its spacious waiting room by double leaf doors. Chairs for 55 guests are arranged on either side of a central aisle leading from the waiting room: the carved over-mantle forms an impressive background to the ceremony. |

The Avon Room
|
The former billiard room on the ground floor has become a setting for smaller ceremonies with up to 20 guests. It is decorated in art nouveau style, with a painted frieze showing various activities and a remarkable cupola which probably came from the Saracen Works. |
 |
The Clyde Suite
|
What was once the master bedroom has become a middle-sized room for up to 30 guests. Decorated in light colours, it looks out on to the Park Circus gardens, and has a connecting waiting room. |
|
Room for 4
| At the rear of the conservatory lies the former Turkish Bath, now a small room where the registrar may conduct a simple ceremony for the couple and witnesses only: only the statutory fees are charged for this service. |
