Getting a Service
Services for social work are accessed through local social work offices and most services are provided following an assessment of need. There may be a charge for some services - see our Social Care Charging Policy for more information. For non-urgent requests, you can also apply online for care and support services.

We offer assistance to adults / older people including Adult Support & Protection; Learning Disabilities; Mental Health; Physical Disabilities; Sensory Impairment and Support at Home.

Social Work Services offer assistance to children and their families facing difficulties in their lives. Services available include Adoption & Fostering; Child Protection; Family Based Respite and Leaving Care.

The key objective of Criminal Justice services is to achieve a reduction in re-offending; increase social inclusion of former offenders and support for victims of crime.
