Carers are entitled to request benefits advice when being assessed for services which may be provided by your local social work office.
Examples of advice which may be available are:
- basic benefit information
- more complex benefit problems can be referred to welfare rights officers following assessment
- representation at appeal tribunals is offered by the representation team who can be contacted through your local social work office.
