In September 1999 the Scottish Executive produced a Carers' Strategy. Glasgow City Council and its planning partners produced a Joint Carers Strategy 2002 - 2005 and a Joint Young Carers Strategy 2002 - 2005 aimed at delivering the objectives laid out in the national strategy and it is Glasgow's intention to continue to develop quality support services to carers.
