There are numerous needle exchange services situated throughout the city. The Needle Exchange is a 24 hour-needle exchange situated within the Glasgow Drugs Crisis Centre. It is an anonymous and confidential service and can be accessed by presenting at reception. A member of staff will then see anyone wishing to get needles. It is important to reduce harm, including Hepatitis B & C, and HIV through injecting. There is also a needle exchange that operates out of Base 75, a service offered to female prostitutes. Many pharmacies in the city also offer a needle exchange facility; contact details of which can be obtained by contacting your own GP or Greater Glasgow Health Board (details below).
