Children 3+

The sad reality is that as children get older it becomes increasingly difficult to find adoptive families for them.  We are really keen to hear from people who can give a permanent and loving home to an older child or a group of brothers and sisters who need to be placed together.

The criteria for adopting children over the age of 3

  • All applicants must be over 21 years old
  • Applications will be accepted from single people and from married and non-married couples, as well as couples who are in a civil partnership
  • Gay and lesbian people can adopt
  • Applications will not be accepted from enquirers currently undergoing any from of infertility treatment or who are on a waiting list for treatment
  • Enquirers will be considered from residents in Glasgow and surrounding areas
  • Applications will only be accepted from enquirers who are willing to consider children from a range of backgrounds
  • All applicants will be subject to local authority heath, employment and Disclosure Scotland checks

If you have ever thought of adopting then please take the next step now.
