Homelessness - Getting Help

Glasgow City Council’s Statutory Homelessness Duty

Glasgow City Council’s statutory homelessness duties are managed by Homelessness Services.

Homelessness Services are responsible for delivering services to those who are homeless or threatened with homelessness. These services are delivered through a network of centres, offices and temporary accommodation options.

Homelessness Services also provides a key link to preventing homelessness and providing advice and assistance.

Getting Help

Glasgow City Council has produced a Homeless or about to be leaflet to explain how its Homelessness Service is provided, how it can be accessed and how it works. This is a brief guide and if you would like more information about our services please contact any of our offices listed below.

Glasgow City Council delivers a homelessness casework service to anyone who is homeless, threatened with homelessness, or is in need of advice about homelessness issues, through its Community Casework Services.

There are five Community Casework Services operating within the three local social Work boundaries and two specialist casework services working city-wide.  The address, phone number and office-opening hours are listed below.  If you are homeless or threatened with homelessness, you should call in to the office covering the area in which you are living at present.  Staff will be pleased to discuss your circumstances with you in a private interview room and advise you on what will be done next to help you.
