Internet Radio Station

Insight Radio exists to serve the country's blind and partially sighted
community.

Broadcasting from Glasgow online and available in the city and outskirts on 101 FM.  Insight Radio is a first for the UK and Europe.

The project is funded and supported by Glasgow City Council, the RNIB, PlaybackVisibility and Guide Dogs for the Blind Association.

Insight Radio's daily output exists to keep the blind and partially sighted community up to date with the day's news and current affairs, but with an emphasis on the items and features that matter to them.

What Insight Radio provides:

Early Edition begins at 8am and focuses on the newspaper stories and news of the day. The Daily Lunch at midday takes a magazine
lifestyle approach from 'Hot Topics' through to 'Daily Dilemmas' and the Afternoon Edition from 3-5 mixes the day's current affairs and news articles with some classic tracks. Each programme features extensive interviews and debate on the issues that matter most to listeners.

Formerly known as VIP On-Air the station began broadcasting on November 20, 2003. The aim of the station is to produce quality
broadcasting on relevant issues to the blind and partially sighted community. The station aims to play it's part in breaking down  barriers faced by listeners including education, employment, social inclusion and lifestyle issues.

Insight Radio wants its listeners to help shape future services.

Expansion plans are already being drawn up but Insight Radio want you to tell them what you'd like to hear on Insight Radio.
