Community Transport - Glasgow's Evening Visitor Service
If you live within Glasgow City then you can access this free door to door service to the following hospitals:
- Glasgow Royal Infirmary
- Stobhill Hospital
- Gartnavel General
- Western Infirmary
- Victoria Infirmary
- Southern General
This service is free and operates between 6pm - 10pm Monday to Friday.

Care Inspectorate (formerly Social Care and Social Work Improvement Scotland)
The Care Inspectorate regulate, inspect and support improvement of care and social work services across Scotland for the benefit of the people who use them. If you are unhappy with the standard of care offered by social work services or other care services then you can complain to the Care Inspectorate as well as making a complaint to us.
SSAFA (Soldiers, Sailors, Air Forces, Association)
If you, or a person you support ,has served any length of time, 1 day or more, in the armed forces and require assistance with adaptations, heating, clothing, housing, beds, bedding, etc. which social work cannot fund, or fully fund, then the SSAFA may be able to help. Contact them on 0141 427 2804 or Glasgow@ssafa.org.uk with proof of connection with the armed forces. The SSAFA also assist in benefit claims and OT referrals.
