Overnight Care Services
What are Overnight Care Services?
- Overnight Care Services are part of the Council’s Support at Home Services and is a service for people over 65 years old
- It is a home support service that operates during the night between the hours of 10 pm and 8 am
How does it work?
A team of two home carers would visit you in your home at agreed times throughout the night
The type of assistance the home carers provide could include assistance to go to bed, assistance to toilet, assistance with catheter care, or assistance with skin care
The type of assistance you require would be discussed at the assessment
How do I get this service?
If you need assistance during the night contact your local social work office to request an assessment of your needs. See here for information on How to Access Services
A member of staff from Social Work Services will visit you to carry out an assessment of your needs to make sure the service is suitable for you
If you have a home care service during the day the cost of this service will be included in your Home Care Charge
If you do not have a home care service during the day the charge for this service will be discussed with you. Information on charging is available.
