Supporting People: Providers

Supporting People is a new UK-wide funding and policy initiative which came on stream in April 2003. Supporting People represents a major overhaul of the way in which housing support services will be strategically planned, and of how services will be funded and delivered.

The Supporting People programme affords service providers the opportunity to review, and if necessary expand existing housing support services. It also offers an opportunity to provide housing support to a wider range of vulnerable people, many of whom have been hitherto unable to access housing support.

The aim of this section is to give service providers an overview of the Supporting People programme in Glasgow City Council.
