Why are all the owners of a backcourt issued with a statutory notice and not just those who are responsible for dumping refuse?
A:
Corroborated evidence is required if action is only to be taken against certain individuals. This may involve giving statements to the police and attending court to give evidence. If we do not know who dumped the waste then legislation requires that we serve the Notice on ALL THE OWNERS of the property.
