37,000 volunteers have given 73,000 hours to help make their city a cleaner, safer, better place, taking part in 2,000 community and school clean-ups..
Cleansing teams have completed 30, 050 fly tipping jobs, disposing of around 11,438 tonnes of dumped waste – the equivalent of around 10 Minis.
They also cleared 20,000 illegally dumped tyres.
We have cleaned enough gum to cover 10 football pitches from city streets - and removed 100 drinking dens.
Officers have taken action against almost 22,000 individuals and businesses for littering, fly tipping, dog fouling and other environmental crimes.
And squads have carried out 100,000 graffiti-removal jobs – cleaning an incredible 880,000 metres. That’s the same distance as Glasgow to Paris.
