This was the second community clean-up for Dumbreck Tenants and Residents Association in Dumbreck Court and Dumbreck Place.
Now the group has adopted the space and intends to carry out monthly clean-ups in the area.
And to help them, Clean Glasgow has provided materials such as litter pickers, gloves and black bags.
The group was able to identify at this month’s clean-up that one of the most likely sources of the litter problem was a nearby building site. They found a high proportion of building materials and packaging, such as plastic, polystyrene, wires and broken bricks.
The next planned clean-up will take place in June – hopefully with kinder weather..
