It is operated by Glasgow City Council as part of the Automatic Urban and Rural Network for the Central Government agency DEFRA. It measures NO2, Particulates and hydrocarbons. Glasgow Chambers

Glasgow City Chambers is located on the 2nd floor of Glasgow City Chambers in Cochrane Street and samples air from a height of approximately 8m. The station monitors NO2 and Carbon monoxide. In addition, three new air quality stations were established in 2007 at Abercromby Street, Nithsdale Road/Pollokshaws Road and Broomhill Cross. As soon as monitoring data is available this will published.
