Disposal of Garden Refuse

Glasgow City Council operates an organic garden waste collection service to 55,000 households throughout the city. The collected material is shredded and composted.

If your property is not covered by this service then facilities for recycling your garden waste are provided at all Civic Amenity sites.

Alternatively details of how to contact the Council Access Centre to arrange a bulk uplift are shown at the bottom of this page. 

Unfortunately we are unable to recycle materials collected by bulk uplift.
