Civic Amenity Sites and Recycling Centres

Glasgow City Council operates 2 Civic Amenity Sites and

2 Recycling Centres.

Recycling facilities are available at all four Civic Amenity Sites and residents have the chance to help reduce the amount of waste going to landfill.

Dawsholm Recycling Centre Site Now Re-opened

Following a five month upgrade the Dawsholm Recycling Centre was formally opened by Councillor Ruth Simpson, Executive Member, Land & Environmental Services on 1st April 2008.

Dawsholm Recycling Facility

The site  re-opened to householders from 2pm, Tuesday, 1st April.

The upgrade to the Dawsholm Recycling Centre provides householders with more opportunities to recycle unwanted materials and minimise the amount of material that has to be sent to landfill.

Householders will be able to recycle more material than previously.  There are areas for paper, plastic bottles, cans, glass bottles, old electrical items, rubble, wood, garden waste, cardboard, furniture and batteries.

The Council would like to thank you for supporting it's recycling programmes.

Listed below are details of the Civic Amenity Sites which can be used by the public.
