
Civic Amenity Sites
Glasgow City Council provides civic amenity facilities free of charge to householders. The provision of this service allows householders to dispose of most items of household waste between 8:00am and 8:00pm, seven days a week at the sites listed below.
Unfortunately tyres and commercial waste cannot be disposed of at civic amenity sites. Appointments must be arranged for the disposal of asbestos or confidential waste and can be made by contacting the Council Access Centre, details of how to do this are shown at the bottom of the page.
Please note there is a 1.8 metre height restriction at the entrance to all the sites, however, householders with vehicles above this height can arrange alternative disposal facilities at either Shieldhall, Easter Queenslie or Dawsholm by contacting the Council Access Centre, details of how to do this are shown at the bottom of the page.

In addition to waste disposal, a full range of recycling facilities is also available at each of these locations.
Should you be unable to transport your waste to an amenity site for disposal, Glasgow City Council operates a domestic bulk uplift service.
