Activity: |
This route extends northwards from Rutherglen Bridge and connects the M8/ M80 with the proposed M74 completion. The development of this road complements the M74 completion. It will:-
- Facilitate the regeneration of derelict land;
- Improve pedestrian routes;
- Improve vehicular access and parking to the Forge shopping centre and retail park and Celtic Park;
- Relieve traffic congestion; and
- Improve road safety and reduce road accidents.
