Target: The completion of the regeneration programme for Lancefield Quay.
Status: 425 residential units and 870 m² and commercial/restaurant space
A further 717 units 5883 m² commercial/retail space and 200-bed hotel planned.
Activity: Situated to the west of the city centre, close to the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre, this traditional industrial area was eroded by low density industrial and business development. It was redesignated as a mixed-use development area, in the approved Glasgow City Plan 2003.

Following the successful completion of the Daily Record offices and associated business centre on Hydepark Street, the following developments have been completed or approved.
  • The completion of 32 residential units with commercial space on Finnieston Street, Lancefield Quay and Elliot Street.
  • The completion of 104 residential units with restaurant on the ground floor, on the corner with Hydepark Street with planning approval of a further 97 units adjoining.
  • The approval of 3,900 m² of commercial space with 280 residential units on the corner with Lancefield Street; and
  • A masterplan for the development of 1983 m² of commercial/retail space, 340 flats and 200 bed hotel for the area between Kingston Bridge and Warroch Street encompassing Piccadilly Street and Cheapside Street was noted in principle subject to further analysis in 2003.
