Activity: |
The area retains the character of a working industrial river. The north embankment is largely inaccessible, due to the working nature of the river. Yoker waterfront benefits from the only ferry service in the city, linking it to Renfrew.
The Dumbarton Road Corridor Smaller Area SIP, Environmental Vision for Yoker, Scotstoun and Whiteinch 2002, and Yoker Relief Road Analysis 2003 provides a development framework to address the key issues for the area, namely the accessibility to the river and how to integrate key development sites with the local communities.
The STAG appraisal for the proposed North Clydeside Corridor route will provide a preferred route design, along the riverfront from Scotstoun to Clydebank. |
