Timescale: 2001-2010
Budget: Phase 1&2 £26 million. Expected total value of development in excess of £190 million.
Partners: Glasgow City Council, Bett Homes; Bellway Homes; Cala Homes; Link Housing Association; Glasgow Housing Association and the local community.
Lead: Glasgow City Council
Target: To complete development of private and social rented housing in the context of the Rutherglen Road diversion ( Phase 1 of the east End Regeneration Route) and M74 development programme.

Status:

Completed:
Appointment of Consortium led by Bett Homes 2002;
Detailed planning approval; and
Serving of Compulsory Purchase Order 2004.

On Site:
Works commenced on site for Phase 1 and 2, 2005: and
Remediation works on Rosebury Park.

Progressing:
Feasibility work for conversion of St Margaret’s Polmadie Church to community hall;
Design plans at a cost of £2 million for Richmond Park;
New accommodation for Richmond Model Boat Club; and
Planning application for an additional 41 residential units by Glasgow Housing Association.
Activity: Work has now started on the redevelopment of the Oatlands neighbourhood on the southbank of the River Clyde, about a mile southeast of Glasgow City Centre. The main aim of the proposal is to create a new neighbourhood of 1278 homes (1062 private and 216 for social rental). Phase 1 and 2, for 437 residential units by Glasgow housing Association.
