All calls relating to Taxi Inspection Bookings are now answered by Customer Service Advisers within the Access Centre.  The transfer of call handling to the Access Centre is part of the drive by Glasgow City Council to provide robust and efficient services to the citizens and businesses of Glasgow.

The Taxi Inspection Service provides a single point of contact for Taxi and Private Hire vehicle owners looking to arrange vehicle MOT's and inspections.  All inspections are carried out at the Vehicle Inspection Centre based at 73 Hawthorn Street, Possilpark.

It is Council Policy for Taxi and Private Hire vehicles to be inspected a minimum of twice a year.  Each licensed operator is notified by the licensing section in writing to present their vehicles for inspection within a specified period. 

The Taxi Inspection Booking Service is available Monday to Sunday from 08:00 to 20:00:
