Regeneration Reports
A report by the Fraser of Allander Institute for Glasgow City Council Welfare Rights service examined the impact of welfare spending on the Glasgow economy.
It is estimated that 258 new jobs will have been created in Scotland as a direct consequence of the work of Glasgow City Council Welfare Rights service. The service ensures that that residents are claiming their correct benefit entitlement. Of the 285 jobs across Scotland 180 will have been created in Glasgow.
An update to the original was published in 2003 and both reports are available to download.
