Cashless Parking

Cashless parking has come to Glasgow. The system uses the latest technology to allow you to charge parking fees direct to your credit card via your mobile phone.

Cashless Parking

As part of the drive to bring customer focused services to people accessing the City, Glasgow City Council in association with Mpark have installed a new  mobile phone payment system.

The system allows anyone with a mobile phone and a credit card the ability to pay for parking - without the inconvenience of searching for coins.

A text reminder of when the parking ticket is due to expire can also be requested.  Once you have registered your details free with the mPARK system, you are registered for life and will be able to use the system in any city which operates the system.

There are five simple steps to follow and these are conveniently displayed on the parking machines, your ticket is then issued and must be displayed on your vehicle.

Each transaction costs 30 pence and a reminder text will cost an additional 20 pence.

The maximum on-street parking time is 2 hours. Anyone going over his or her time is liable for a £60 penalty ticket.
